Sundara Khanda, Valmiki Ramayanam
Aditya is Aditya is the Sun God; Hridayam = what is particularly nutritious and healing for the heart.
Sage Agasthya Muni gave this powerful Mantra to Sri Rama during the time that Rama was confused, fighting with Ravana. After the chanting of this Hymn three times Sri Rama beat Ravana.
The aditya hrudayam, is a hymn of praise of the Sun or Surya and was recited by the great scholar Agastya in honor of Lord Rama on the battlefield before fighting with Ravana. This ancient hymn is sung with the start of the Battle with Ravana and ends when Lord Rama is fatigued and getting ready to fight. The song is a mystical one that is penned to God of the Sun. Sun God, the illustrious Lord of all victories.

Oh! Lord Surya who is the supreme ruler of the universe You are the eradicator of all diseases, and the repository of peace

1. Reciting aditya hrudayam Stotra Lord Sri Rama defeated Ravana and achieved Victory.
2. "Tejaskamo Vibhavasum" people desirous of Tejas-Aura around them have to recite Aditya Hridaya Stotra. The Stotra is mentioned in Bhagavata.
3. The grace of Bhagavan Surya Kunti Devi was blessed with Kama and the Monkey Rurajasa along with Sugreeva, as sons.

5. Dharma Raja obtained Akshaya patra by worshipping Lord Surya and would entertain his guests using the bowl that fulfilled his wish.
6. "Dinesam Sukhardham" It is stated in Skanda purana that one has the obligation to approach Surya Bhagavan to be happy and for well-being.
7. The Samba purana proclaimed the possibility that Samba the son of Jambavati could be cured of leprosy through praying to Lord Surya.
8. Mayurabhatta was able to make his body as a diamond and was free of illness.
Sunday is a lot more dear for Aditya.
It is important to avoid keeping routine meat, alcohol, and company on that day. It is also important to observe Celibacy on Sundays. Veda has said that it is important to wake up early to avoid the sun sets. The practice of Suryopasana is known as Naturopathy.
One should rise in the early morning hours and offer prayers to the Sun God. It is recommended to take a bath in any lake pond or river. Place yourself in front of Sun God and offer the Arghya. The Cosmic Rays that cover the flowing water in Arghya pradana will emanate the power derived from the Sun's rays. Sun and will reflect onto our body. So the germs that cause infection in our body will die due to that and our body will receive crucial power (pranic Sakti).
The Vedas declare, that the colors embedded in the Sun rays cure all diseases.
These Seven Rays are viz. 1. Red 2. Orange 3. Yellow 4. Green 5. Blue 6. Indigo 7. Violet, are the seven horse breeds of Surya. We also observe the same colours in the Rainbow.

Preparation of Medicated Oil using Sun Rays
To cure the diseases of head, you can pour gingelly oil, or Badam ol two inches lower than the neck the bottle. connect it with corks or cotton and keep this bottle covered in Sun shine. If the cotton is blocked, every day the cotton must be replaced. The oil is ready within ninety days. After the oil has been prepared perfumes can be added however, not colour.
Medical Water Preparation Using Sun Rays
In accordance with the type of illness and the type of disease, in various coloured bottles, water needs to be filled less than two inches to the full capacities of the bottle and the same cork must be fitted to the bottle. The liquid or oil needs to be stored on a wooden plank and not on the ground, and exposed in full shine during the time period of 10 o'clock in the morning, and from 5 'O' clock later in the day. It's useful for only three days and again it must be prepared separately. The water prepared though the Sun Rays in a clear bottle is extremely beneficial. This water can be used 2 times per day.
SAPTA SAPTIH - SURYA BHAGAVAN
1. He possesses Seven horses (Seven rays)
They are Jaya, Ajaya, Vijaya, Jitaprana, Jitakrama, Mano Japa, Jita Krodha (Bhavisya purana)
Jaya: The first ray is a symbol of firm conviction physical and mental power, strength, and determination to conquer other people and generosity.
Ajaya is a compassionate person who gives calmness and intelligence, and inward understanding.
Vijaya : a voracious reader, high-level thinking and an esoteric base.
Jita prana : Deep thought, extremely kind, merciful.
Jita krama : grants excellent quality, highly skilled and knowledgeable scientists.
Manojapa : Dedication and dedication, sincere and pursues true path.
Jita Krodha: In-depth assessment, artistic taste in fine arts and admiration of beauty, love for display.
2. 3. Seven Chandas : (poetic metres)
1. The Gayatri 2. Jagati 3. Usnik 4. Tristupp 5. Anustupp 6. Pankti has become Six horses. 7. the bhruhati Chanda became the seat in the centre of the Chariot. Surya Bhagavan sits on the Chariot of Chandas and travel through the space.
3. Lord Surya has seven Rays :
These are 1. Susumna 2. Suradana 3. Udanvasu 4. Visvakarma 5. Udavasu 6. Visvavyaca 7. Harikesa
"Susumna": This is similar to the brightness of a thousand light rays. This ray has the name to is what makes Candra (Moon) an extremely beautiful of them all. The Nectar that is given by the full moon to all the panis will bring them happiness and pleasure.
"Surandana" : The moon has originated from this Ray. The rays are only the sun's rays. Surya (Sun) all by themselves.
"Udannvasu" : From this the Kuja graha (planet) was born. This Ray of Surya is able to shield living creatures from problems of blood and provides them with the health, brilliance and wealth.
"Visva karma" The resulting rays form what is known as the Budhagraha (planet). This ray removes any mental disturbances experienced by people and brings all prosperity and peace.
"Udavasu" : This ray creates Bruhaspati planet. The planet provides pleasure and liberation to all living creatures. By worshipping this planet obstacles, hurdles, challenges will be removed, and success will be attained.
"Visva vyaca" : From this ray Sukra and Sani have originated. In addition, sukra is responsible to Virya (sperm) Sukra is incharge of humans procreation and the ray of his brings death. Therefore, by worshipping the ray one will get complete endurance.
"Harikesa" : Due to this radiation, all Stars (Nakshatras) were born. They are also known as Nashatra as they shield the human body from loss of strength, virya and teja.
Surya is home to seven personnel from the service
They are 1. Namshatras 2. Months 3. Fortnights 4. Seasons 5. Years 6. Days 7. Nights.
He has seven indriyas (organs) They're 1. Two eyes 2. Two Nostrils 3. Two ears 4. One face. Surya Bhagavan is the person who is the one who activates the functions these organs.
6. He is the owner of a horse with the name Sapta. A Chariot of this name , he's known by the name of Sapta Sapti. The name Sapta Sapti is referred to at the beginning of Kalki Avatara's ride on this horse.
The seven colours of Surya
These seven colours include. 1. Red 2. Orange 3. Yellow 4. Green 5. Blue 6. Indigo 7. Violet These are the seven horse breeds of Surya. We also see the same colours in the Rainbow.
